Two days ago the ever-silver tongued and very talented Ann Coulter wrote a piece on her Substack, Unsafe, titled “The Siren Song of the Non-White Vote.” Subtitle: “It’s a trap, Republicans!”

In this piece Coulter rightly critiqued the GOP for its hyper-focus on garnering slivers of the minority vote in the United States while simultaneously appearing ashamed for its growing share of the White vote.
I agree with virtually everything Ms. Coulter wrote in the piece, but she also fell short of a real solution. Yes, the Republicans should stop hyper-focusing on the minority vote and should embrace their Ethnic/Heritage American voters, but their incentive to do this is marginal in a country that continues to undergo nation-altering (and inevitably destroying) demographic changes.
If we want to give Conservatives more reason to lean into the White vote and to prioritize the issues of Heritage Americans then we must engage in policy-making that reverses the Democrats decades long project of importing a new voting population.
She writes:
“It is a fact that whites are the only ethnic group that ever votes majority Republican. By any rational calculus, therefore, Republicans’ sole objective every election should be driving up the white vote (for liberals, “the oppressor vote”), both as a share of the GOP voters and as a share of the electorate. It’s great if minorities vote for you, too, but that’s not what wins elections. “
This is true. When you look into the data on the way that Hispanics voted in 2024 it was overwhelmingly for Kamala Harris. The major exception being young third-generation Hispanic men (about 9 million people under age 25) who voted for Trump. The rest of the Hispanic Demographic and especially those over 35 voted 60-70% for Kamala Harris.
The GOP has not made significant inroads with Hispanic voters except for those of third-generation status who are male. This is because those third-generation Hispanic Americans do not speak Spanish, primarily identify as American, and mostly marry, date, and befriend Heritage Americans not other Hispanics, but I digress.
What Coulter fails to mention is that the Republicans must also have a strategy for driving down the vote of imported votes of the Democrats if they want her suggested “maximize the White vote” strategy to be viable in the medium and long term. The GOP can obsess over driving up the White vote all it wants, but current demographic trends paint a picture of an America where White Americans are a minority by 2045 and less than 45% of the population by 2060. Even if the GOP drove its share of the White vote to 100% it would not be a sustainable strategy with current demographic trends. The GOP knows this.
She then goes on to say:
“In fact, however, the big story of the 2024 election is that whites increased their share of the electorate for the first time since 1992. As NPR put it, 71% “might be the most important number of the election,” representing the white portion of the electorate. For whites to reverse their decades-long decline “is eye-popping and a big reason for Trump’s win.” “
This is certainly an interesting development but as I mentioned above it is certainly not sustainable. Data from Brookings shows that the entirety of the White jump in the electorate came from people aged 65-plus.
Whites declined as an electoral share among every other demographic group and extremely noticeably among people aged 45-64. This isn’t surprising considering that the average age for a naturalized citizen in the United States is 42 years old. More importantly a study from California (where nearly 30% of all immigrants live) shows that of politically engaged naturalized immigrants some 56% are registered Democrats and just 14% are registered Republicans. There are 24.5 million naturalized immigrants in this country some 55% of whom are likely voters.
It is all well and good for her to say, in reference to the insanity of the Democrats driving away Whites:
“That’s why, even as the country has rapidly transformed into one that is vastly less white, the share of Americans who identify as Republican has increased.”
But ultimately, this path is unsustainable for any national-conservative force seeking to govern the United States. It is all well and good that young highly integrated Hispanic men want to preserve this country, and they should be part of the coalition that seeks to do so, but as she points out the core of the pro-American vote is White and what she fails to point out is that this vote is inexorably shrinking in the age of mass immigration.
This leaves only one solution: repatriation. We must engage in a project to undue the decades of mass immigration visited upon this country by the Democratic party and not-so-silently consented to by the Republican party before Trump stepped onto the scene.
Many naturalized immigrants came here entirely legally, work, integrate, and live quiet lives, but more than half have broken the law and expectations of the American people. 50.2% of households headed by naturalized immigrants are utilizing a major American welfare program in violation of the spirit of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA) . These individuals should never have been admitted to the United States to begin with let alone made our fellow citizens. They must go!
Denaturalizing welfare recipients would remove 10.25 million potential voters from the voting pool. Upon departure these immigrants would also take an estimate 4.15 million under-18 children with them, removing a large segment of potential future voters.
By deporting the children of illegals, revoking Green Cards for the 54% of non-citizen immigrants utilizing our welfare state, and prosecuting naturalization fraud we can radically reduce the number of current and future left-wing voters in this country. Voters the American people never consented to importing in the first place.
It’s not a perfect solution. America will remain much more diverse than it was before 1960 and that cannot be helped if we are to remain a humane society that believes in equality before the law, and we absolutely must remain as such.
But a lot can be done to reverse the decades of demographic damage wrought by importing Democrat voters. Driving up the White vote won’t matter unless it is paired with a policy of repatriation.
