On August 27th, 2025 Tucker Carlson, one of the Anglosphere’s last journalists of notable honour and integrity, interviewed fellow journalist and author of notable honour and integrity Christopher Caldwell; and their conversation focused on the issue of the replacement of the native peoples of the West—White peoples as Tucker repeatedly pointed out. The podcast was titled “Christopher Caldwell: Is It Too Late to Save the English-Speaking World?” [Transcript]

The conversation was fantastic from start to finish and Caldwell diagnosed countless problems with the modern West correctly and in proper context, but there was one question at the very start of the interview where he gave what I am going to generously call an unsatisfactory and ill-informed answer.
In speaking about the Great Replacement in the United Kingdom, and in England specifically, Tucker asked Caldwell: “Can that be changed, fixed, reversed?” [7m12] and Mr. Caldwell proceeded to go on a 13 minute exegesis about everything from the fragmentation of the British Right to the post-Second World War history of the liberal Western elite’s obsession with mass immigration. After all of this he declared that there was no way to reverse the Great Replacement’s changes to Britain, America, and Europe short of “cataclysmic developments.” [20m 38s]
I take issue with this to put it mildly.
Mr. Caldwell is correct when he states that the mass migration into Britain and the wider West is unlike anything else in history and is happening at a time when the numerator of immigrants is increasing as the denominator of the native British is in decline. He is correct when he points out that modern technology (namely airplanes and the internet) have made migration simpler than any other period of immigration in human history. Caldwell is especially correct in stating that many Western elites will never go for any kind of reversal of the demographic change they have brought down upon our heads, not least because they believe it’s all for the better despite its manifest consequences such as crime and economic stagnation. What Christopher Caldwell is not correct about is that reversing the Great Replacement would require a set of “cataclysmic” (and presumably violent) events to take place.
On The Ballymena Riots, Civil War, South Africa, and the Necessity of Remigration

I will preface my forthcoming rebuttal by saying that the Great Replacement will leave and has already left a permanent effect on the West. Even after deportations and voluntary remigration there will be millions of non-Whites spread across the West. Many, like Britain’s own Suella Braverman, have transferred the whole of their loyalties to our nations and will desire to stay (and should be welcomed to) while in other countries like the United States original minorities such as African Americans and Tejanos/Californios will remain.
In other cases Western men and women have met and married foreigners and now have children with them. Many of these families will doubtless choose to remain in the West rather than relocate abroad. The fact that some people will stay is not a reason to dismiss remigration and reversing the Great Replacement. The idea that remigration entails some kind of mythic ‘return’ to comically 100% homogeneous societies should be dismissed as a straw man. The West needs practical remigration policies if it is to remain The West.
Let’s tackle the simplest and most readily contradictory element of his conclusion: if modern technology can bring about an unprecedented age of mass migration, why can it not bring about an unprecedented age of Remigration? Non-Britons can apply faster than ever for passports from their homelands or visas for those without current foreign citizenship. Shipping goods and moving money is easier than ever, making remigration payments and relocation reasonably simple. The very same planes these immigrants have been arriving on for decades is also the primary method by which they can be carried abroad. There will be no trains with cattle cars, dinghies, or forced marches. Migrants can and will fly home with a complimentary drink and in-flight access to hundreds of films and video games available on the screen right in front of their seat.
The next element to tackle is the idea that all of these immigrants are somehow a permanent fixture of life in Britain and by extension the rest of the West. Here in Britain we have roughly 12 million residents of non-Western extraction and 6.5 million of these individuals are foreign-born. Most significantly nearly 4 million of these individuals are visa holders without British citizenship! Only 22% of these migrants even arrived on a work visa to begin with and are therefore not critical to the British economy by definition. The natural place to start is to simply allow these visas to expire and then ensure these migrants depart Britain in a timely fashion. The actual mechanics of Remigration are simple.
Then there are the 1.6 million people of non-(native) British origin have a criminal record in Britain. British law enables the Home Secretary to denaturalise any dual national of the UK, or person able to attain another nationality. Determining that an individual is legally subject to denaturalisation is achieved by applying one or more of three criteria: a) should it be considered that doing so is conducive to the public good; b) if the person obtained their citizenship through fraud, false representation or concealment; or c) if the persons have conducted himself or herself in a manner which is, “seriously prejudicial to the vital interests of the United Kingdom.” Thanks to an analysis by the New Statesman in December of 2021 we know that 50% of Asians and 40% of Black/Africans in Britain retain or qualify for citizenship in their country of ancestral origin. This means 650,000 to 800,000 non-British dual national criminals could be relieved of their British citizenship and deported to their countries of ancestral origin.
Denaturalization Laws are Commonplace
We’re just shy of 5 million people who could be Remigrated from the United Kingdom all without significant legislative changes or ‘human rights’ violations.
This leaves the millions of people of foreign-origin who want to leave the United Kingdom and only require that the resources to do so. The ethnic minority oriented marketing organisation Word on the Curb conducted a survey of 1,600 non-British individuals aged 16 to 34 in the United Kingdom and found that 66% of these non-Britons were considering or actively planning to leave the United Kingdom. I recommended that the United Kingdom make a ‘remigration payment’ available to these individuals, as well as logistical assistance in moving, so they may relocate abroad to a non-Western country of their choosing. This would result in 1.7 million non-Brits under 34 leaving the country and if 66% of all remaining non-Brits were to take up this remigration program then the total could rise as high as 4 million.
After all these policy changes, about 2.4-3.4 million non-Westerners would remain in the United Kingdom. However, the native British share of the population would increase from 76.8% today to 86.55% post-Remigration while the overall Western/White population of Britain would sit at 94%. Such a small number of minority residents could be absorbed and integrated within two generations while the European/Western minorities will integrate in a single generation or less since many have already become indistinguishable from the native British.
I sincerely hope Mr. Caldwell sees these numbers and speaks of Remigration as the positive and constructive policy that it can be rather than predicting that demographic change requires some kind of catastrophe to be undone.
