This is a photo of the Minneapolis Police Station that was set on fire by demonstrators—with the approval of Mayor Jacob Frey—on May 27, 2020 during the BLM riots. Some people may remember that these events were described by the media as “mostly peaceful protests.”
Recently in Minnesota, organized groups (Antifa, Left-wing NGOs) have been “protesting,” “monitoring” and in many cases physically attacking Federal officers of ICE and the Border Patrol.
Two of them (Renee Good and Alex Pretti) attacked dangerously enough that Federal officers were forced to kill them in self-defense.
Renee Good is the woman who tried to run an ICE agent down, Pretti is the guy who got in a violent physical confrontation with ICE while armed with a gun. This was actually the second time he’d done that in a week—the first time, where he didn’t get shot or arrested is here. (Video via Nick Sortor on Twitter.)
🚨 BREAKING: Video has surfaced of Alex Pretti SPITTING ON and ATTACKING federal agents in the Minneapolis area on January 13th — one week before being shot during a scuffle with Border Patrol
This guy was NOT a peaceful protestor
He was a VlOLENT LEFTIST MILITANT!

Apparently six DOJ prosecutors have resigned because they don’t want to be part of an investigation into the networks behind these protesters.
Ann Coulter writes on Substack that
The federal government is facing a militarized, highly disciplined, violent left-wing operation that will do anything to prevent a single illegal alien from being deported. This includes road-blocking, screaming, blowing whistles, face-to-face confrontations, arson, vandalism, even assassination.
But for wanting to gather information on these two troublemakers, The Hill newspaper thundered at the administration: “the expectation is straightforward: you investigate the use of deadly force,” NOT the victims of the deadly force.
But law enforcement “deadly force” almost always happens as a result of a murderous attack on a law enforcement officer, and this is organized.
Some people are comparing the deaths of two attackers to the killing of four students during an anti-war riot at Kent State.
Many of us are old enough to remember this. Back then, like today, the government labeled these people Commies or professional agitators. But also like today, they were simply people who believed in basic humanity. pic.twitter.com/DJJuAIylqg

You can see what I had to say about that on my own Substack:
The Kent State Guardsmen were vindicated by the Grand Jury—which indicted 25 rioters instead—and Republican President Richard Nixon was reelected with 49 state majority.

Someone should remind Trump of that, because while immigration enforcement is still going on, Trump is showing signs of a “pivot” on Minneapolis according to Axios.com, which notes that Trump has reassigned the Border Patrol’s Greg Bovino to his home sector in El Centro, and send Tom Homan to oversee Minneapolis operations.

This is a mistake: as I’ve written here before, the answer to rioting is “Ruthless Coercion”—the phrase comes from Peter Brimelow, who referenced 60s riot expert Eugene Methvin’s 1991 article A Riot Primer.
