Piddington Has Voted. Britain Is Fracturing and Remigration Is the Answer.

On September 15, 2026, a village of a few hundred people in the English county of Oxfordshire held a referendum, but it was not about the typical neighborhood planning, green space, or opposition to High Speed 2 (HS2). Instead, 92% of Piddington’s population voted to secede from the United Kingdom in a result that was 285 votes in favour of departure and just 26 votes to remain part of Britain.

While the ballot has no legal force and the Home Secretary certainly will not recognise the new Principality of Piddington, it was never about independence. It was about local identity, women and children’s safety, and NIMBY (Not-In-My-Back-Yard) opposition to illegal migration.

Piddington voted to leave Britain because the Labour government plans to settle more than 1,250 military-age male so-called “asylum seekers” (who are actually illegal migrants) on an old Ministry of Defence site adjacent to the village. The government has thus far refused to listen to the concerns of the locals and has insisted that a village of barely 300 people will be just fine next to an encampment of foreign unvetted men.

Mass immigration into Britain is beginning to look rather eerily like occupation, conquest and invasion.

A village outnumbered four to one

The site, named MoD Bicester, will house more than three times Piddington’s population, and the illegal migrant men will be free to come and go as they please. The site will remain open for a minimum of ten years, which the government calls “temporary.” Some assessments circulating among residents referred to a far larger “service user” figure before the Home Office insisted the working number was 1,256. The site sits beside a playing field used by local children.

133 women from the village wrote to every female MP in the country. Life as they know it, they said, would be destroyed. Local women were interviewed by the BBC, by Sky News, by Oxfordshire papers, and by social media personalities. In each and every one of these interviews, the women of Piddington mentioned concerns for their safety and the safety of their children. Despite their desperate pleas, the government is still going full steam ahead with their plans to drop more than a thousand unvetted men—men who typically come from Somalia, Eritrea, Sudan, Afghanistan and Iran—into the parish.

Instead, what we are seeing is local resistance by generally center-left NIMBYs. Politically, Piddington sits in the constituency of Bicester and Woodstock. The local MP is Calum Miller, a Liberal Democrat who won the seat in the 2024 general election with 38.7% of the vote. The Conservatives took 28.8%, Labour took 16.4%, Reform UK took 10.8%, and the Green Party took 4.8%. If one combines the left-leaning vote share between the Liberal Democrats, Labour and Green, the total is 59.9%. By contrast, the right-leaning vote share between the Tories and Reform garnered just 39.6% of the votes.

This is middle-class England. An area that voted “remain” in the Brexit referendum, inhabited by professional white-collar workers, and is the sort of seat that congratulates itself on its decency and acceptance of modern leftist dogmas.

And now, the very electorate that delivered a Liberal Democrat MP has produced a secession ballot to leave the country. The same people who ticked the hypothetical box for “compassion” and “asylum seekers welcome” in the general election now refuse to accept them in their backyards. The level of hypocrisy is through the roof.

In the modern Western zeitgeist, multiculturalism is viewed as a luxury belief system; but like all things luxury, it is quickly abandoned for pragmatism once delivered to one’s own doorstep. Reality hits hard.

Calum Miller, the pro-migrant, pro-multiculturalism, pro-diversification Member of Parliament for the area, champions “asylum seekers” despite being fully aware of the dangers they bring. In fact, Calum Miller is fully aware that in Sudan there is “systematic sexual violence against women and the summary execution of civilians.” These were his own words.

Women should be the biggest advocates of Remigration.

He also called the reports from El Fasher, a city in Sudan, “truly horrific.” He is, of course, correct.

Sudan’s war has produced mass rape, ethnic killing and the collapse of cities. Sudan is also one of the principal source countries of illegal arrivals coming across the English Channel. In the year ending June 2026, Sudanese nationals were 13% of small-boat arrivals, behind only Eritrea. Eritrea, Sudan, Afghanistan, Somalia and Iran together accounted for two-thirds of those crossings. Adult men from countries where women and girls are mutilated, viewed as property to trade and abuse, and treated as second class citizens unworthy of even sharing a dinner table with their own families, should not be anywhere near Britain or the West.

Despite his ability to recognize the horror of Third World cultures half a world away, Calum Miller still penned his name to the charity Asylum Welcome’s open letter demanding “unity and compassion” in Oxfordshire in August 2025. The letter condemned “dehumanising language” towards illegal migrants in taxpayer funded hotels. It is the peak of modern multicultural hysteria to have a sitting MP be able to list off the incalculable violence in the third world while also advocating for those very same men to be welcomed with open arms into a small English village. This is Britain’s establishment summed up in one man.

And while it is true that Miller has opposed MoD Bicester Site A on the grounds of planning and scale, he has not changed his general tune about the necessity to diversify Britain. He seems not to care that the English are rapidly becoming a minority in their ancestral homeland.

Ultimately, the Piddington referendum and local opposition is a microcosm of the diversification of Britain and the dissolution of a nation.

In 1991, England and Wales were 94.1% White European. In 2001 the native British share of the population was 87.5%, by 2011 it was 80.5%, and in 2021 it was just 74.4%. White Papers’ estimates put the native British share of the population of England and Wales at closer to 68-70% after the post-2021 “Boriswave” migration surge.

Major cities such as London are already minority British, with just 36.8% of residents being native Britons in 2021. Similarly, in 2021, Birmingham was 42.9% British, Leicester was 33.2% British, Slough was just 24.0% British, and Newham a catastrophic 14.8%. These are not estimates or projections; they are the numbers from the last census in 2021, a census which is now wildly out of date due to millions of more arrivals (85% of whom came from non-European countries) and increased births to non-native Brits. Models of local authority change predict that dozens of more districts will fall below 50% White British by 2051. Bolton, on one such run, falls from 68.8% White British to 26.9%.

Using this 2021 census data, it has been estimated by some academics that the British population will become a minority by 2063. That date moves earlier every time a “Boriswave” year dumps another 700,000 to 900,000 in net migration, almost all of it non-EU and non-Western. In 2024, 1,034,000 non-EU migrants arrived and only 189,000, hence an increase of 845,000 non-Western migrants in a single year.

Parallel societies are not something that are “a risk” in modern Britain. They already exist in Birmingham, Bradford, Tower Hamlets, and other areas highlighted in the grooming-gang map that government officials spent decades burying. Multiculturalism does not produce a blended nation. It produces conflict, crime, and dysfunction. It forces “white flight” as native Brits escape their cities, then their suburban developments, and then it comes to their rural villages. When left with nowhere else to go, they must hold a parish referendum to stave off the aggressive march of uninvited, unwanted mass immigration of people from alien cultures.

You cannot concentrate 1,256 men in a small English village fast enough to keep pace with the boats. You cannot “consult” a village into accepting a four-to-one imbalance. You cannot lecture women about kindness while quoting Sudanese mass rape in Hansard and signing the “Asylum Welcome” letter.

The only policy that ends the game is Remigration: the orderly removal of those who should not be here, and the funded return of a large share of those who will not become British in any sense that preserves the country.

Remigration, as we define it, is the necessary, orderly and safe deportation and repatriation of non-Western peoples to their countries of ancestral origin or to a third country willing to take them. This would take place in the form of a roughly 12-year program, the length of three parliamentary terms, combining mandatory removals with paid voluntary departure.

Mandatory remigration starts with the people no serious state would keep. Illegal migrants (at least 2 million in Britain), foreign criminals and dual-national offenders would be deported and denaturalised as necessary. Citizenships would be revoked if obtained by fraud: sham marriages, abused student routes, false asylum claims. Visas would be phased out for most current visa holders. Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) for non-Western arrivals who are not married to natives would come to an end and largely be reversed.

Existing denaturalisation law is already a great tool as we have highlighted across our work. White Papers has shown that a large share of naturalised non-Britons could lose citizenship under statutes already under the law.

Combined with family rules that keep genuine native spouses and mixed-heritage children here, the current law plus a serious Home Secretary could remove on the order of 9.5 million non-Western people and lift the native British share by more than 10% without a new Act of Parliament. That is the floor, not the ceiling.

Voluntary remigration is the larger half of the programme. A payment of £65,000 per person (almost double median full-time earnings) plus debt relief, flights and a Remigration Office that handles the paperwork. In Indian or African terms, that sum is decades of wages and the funding to be set for life. Surveys of non-British 16-to-34-year-olds in Britain have found around two-thirds considering or planning to leave if they can. We do not need every person to take the offer. A 50% to 66% uptake among the remaining non-Western population, on top of the mandatory removals, is sufficient to transform the country back towards normality.

Under our “medium-scenario” remigration pathway, mandatory and voluntary policies together remigrate roughly 11 million people. The native British share rises from around 73% to about 87%. The Western share of the population moves to 90%-93%.

The “high-scenario” pathway, which assumes more mixed households and third-generation residents would also leave, produces a Britain that is about 93% native British and 99% European or Western, with a foreign-born population near 5%.

The bill is temporary. The status quo is permanent. Hotel and asylum support, surplus policing, prison places, and welfare paid to households that will never match native fiscal contribution already run to tens of billions a year. Paid remigration, even at the generous rate we set, is a fraction of that once the first cohorts have gone. A country that can process hundreds of thousands of arrivals a year can process departures. Air traffic at Heathrow would barely notice.

Keep the asylum system and you will keep the illegal migrant accommodation. Keep the illegal migrant accommodation, and you will keep the parish revolts. Keep the parish revolts and you will watch the United Kingdom become a legal wrapper around populations that no longer share a people, a memory or a future. Scotland already has a separatist party. Northern Ireland’s demography has been in motion for decades. England is now producing village-level secession theatre because the centre will not defend the nation. That is the breakup. It does not begin with a flag over Holyrood. It begins when a woman in Oxfordshire decides the British state is something to escape.

Piddington’s ballot was a message. The government can ignore the result. It cannot ignore the condition that produced it. Mass immigration without consent has already broken the cities. It is now breaking the villages that voted for the parties that caused it.

Remigration is the only policy that treats that condition as reversible. Stop the boats by ending the prize. Remove the illegal, the criminal and the fraudster. Pay the rest to go home. Restore a native British majority in the only country the British have.
